Running a 10K Together (Inspired by Jodie’s Marathon)
29th April 2026
Inspired by Jodie’s recent Manchester marathon effort, we’re putting together a 10K challenge of our own. Nothing extreme, nothing off-putting, just a chance to get moving, set a goal, and do it together.
Who we’re running for
We’ll also be doing it in aid of the Bedfordshire & Northamptonshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, giving us a clear reason to keep showing up. If you’d like to support the cause, you can donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/crdone-does-10k
This is a cause that means something to all of us. Everyone in the team knows someone who’s been affected by Multiple Sclerosis, so it feels worth putting the effort in for something that has a real impact.
The charity has been supporting people since 1983, when a small group came together to create access to therapies that weren’t available through the NHS. Today, more than 1,000 members rely on the centre, with around 350 people attending each week. Every therapy is provided free of charge, which makes a meaningful difference to individuals and families living with MS.
Running a centre like that takes consistent funding. It costs over £1,300 a day to keep everything going, which is why efforts like this play a small but important role.
Jodie, a coach at Bedford Harriers, will be leading the sessions and guiding us through it. So if you’ve been thinking about a 10K but weren’t sure where to begin, you’ll have the right support around you.
We’ll be meeting once a month across May, June, July and August, building things up steadily. Dates are still to be confirmed, but the focus is simple, stay consistent, keep it manageable, and enjoy the process.
How you can get involved
If you fancy joining us, get in touch. And if running isn’t your thing, a small donation goes a long way in helping the centre continue its work.

There’s something about seeing one of our own take on a marathon that gets you thinking… maybe it’s time to lace up and give it a go ourselves.
